Commenting Review Week

Overall, I have enjoyed the commenting assignments in this class. I feel like it is a good way to get to know my classmates, since there is no face to face meeting involved in the class. I think the comments are very helpful when writing my posts, especially the storybook posts. When I am leaving comments, I usually try to focus on the positive aspects of the stories/posts. If I do notice grammatical errors or things that could be improved, I try to point those out in a polite way. I think the commenting assignments in this class are overall helpful to both the commenter and the one receiving the comments.

  1. I agree that the comments are helpful to people, the commenter and the person receiving the comment. You make a good point about how the comments are a great way to meet the other people in the class. This is the only communication that we have with our classmates, and for this class I believe it is very successful. I am glad that you try to comment in a polite way. Most of our classmates are good about being polite.

  2. Adam, I agree with your idea of how to comment on different people's stories. Using that approach can certainly help both you, the reviewer, and whoever is receiving your comments. Also the corrections in grammatical mistakes can help the person to realize what they are just skimming over when writing their post and what they can do to help improve it.

  3. I agree that the comments are helpful to get to know the people in the class. It is more interaction than I do in most of my online classes. I also like to try to point out the positive things and only mention the negative things if they are big things, like huge grammatical errors, because I would want someone to comment on those things for me so that I knew how to easily fix something.

  4. Adam. I completely agree with you in that the comments provide great help for classmates. It is beneficial to both the student making the comment and the student receiving it. I also focus on the positive aspects to the storytelling post.
